GREEN CONNECTIONS ARE CRUCIAL COMMUNITY ASSETS.
FROGTOWN ART GROWS STRONG COMMUNITIES.
Sitting at a crucial point between the Frogtown neighborhood and the state capitol, this year’s site for the St Paul Prize will be the social link between the people and the state. In this proposal, program has expanded beyond the Community Resource Center to include a new home for WFNU FROGTOWN RADIO, RENTABLE RECORDING STUDIOS, a STREET SIDE CAFE, CORNER RETAIL/GALLERY SPACE, and 24 UNITS OF MEDIUM DENSITY HOUSING. With the impending closure of the Sears Department store to the south, the site is charged for development into a future collaboration zone, however it needs to be grown sustainably. We believe this can only happen if the people of tihs place, including stakeholders such as the Frogtown Neighborhood Association can own the vision.
